Learning With Us

Abbey CE Academy is more than just somewhere that teachers give lessons. We see ourselves as a facility where pupils learn for life.

This allows our staff to be more than just highly qualified experts in their different subject areas. Their educational expertise and personal commitment make significant contributions to fostering our culture of mutual respect and cooperation.

At The Abbey Church of England Academy, learning is about much more than simply imparting knowledge. We believe that it's vital to provide individual support for every student.  We especially value the support of parents in all aspects of school life.  The staff recognise the need to work closely with parents if we are to enable your child to make progress. Together we hope we will succeed in making your child’s stay with us both happy and successful.

Christian Values:

One of the key themes in the last few years is how Christian Values are intrinsic to our lives. The children have had the opportunity to explore them through a “collapsed curriculum” day, to reflect on them during Collective Worship and to consider how they have an impact on daily life in the classroom.

We want the children to leave The Abbey Church of England Academy knowing that they can have a positive impact on the world, and start living the values and attitudes that will change society for the better.
