Community Programmes

We think it is really important that our school is open to everyone. The more parents, friends and family that get involved, the better it is for our pupils.

The school recognises and affirms its Church of England foundation and greatly values its special, historic and continuing link with the Holy Cross Parish Church. However, it also recognises the ecumenical dimension within Christianity and seeks to reflect this in its contact with other local churches.

Religious Education forms a part of the curriculum for all pupils at The Abbey CE Academy and the school’s scheme is based upon Northamptonshire’s Agreed Syllabus. However, Parents do have the right to withdraw their child on grounds of conscience. If this is of an issue, please come and talk to a member of the teaching staff to discuss your concerns.
