Welcome to The Abbey CE Academy

Our Christian value this term is Integrity.

“The seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it and patiently produce a huge harvest.”              Luke 11 v15

The Abbey CE Academy is a happy and friendly school with hard working staff and pupils. We use a variety of teaching methods to make learning fun and offer a stimulating environment, which aims to develop each child’s potential. We encourage, and expect, high standards in both work and behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.

As a Church of England academy we have close links with the Holy Cross Parish Church. We also have good links with the community and other schools and academies. We are part of the David Ross Education Trust, which widens our relationship with other academies across the Trust’s network.

The academy is committed, within a broadly Christian context, to educational excellence and the spiritual, moral and cultural development of its pupils. We aim to achieve this in all areas of our activity and through all subjects of the curriculum.
