Welcome to The Abbey CE Academy

Our Christian value this term is Respect.

“Show proper respect to everyone.”   Peter 2 v17

The Abbey CE Academy is a friendly, thriving Junior School in Daventry town. We offer a welcoming environment where every pupil is truly valued for who they are, who they can become, and for their hard work in achieving their full potential.  Academic excellence, cultural enrichment, the joy of learning, and respect for all are integral to life at the Abbey.

We aim to develop well-rounded young people, with enquiring minds, who are able to make informed choices about their future and contribute meaningfully to our wider community. We have high standards for behaviour, and expect all pupils to take pride in their work, their appearance and their attitude to learning. We also expect them to be a kind and caring friend, treating others as they would like to be treated themselves.

As a Church school, our Christian values are at the heart of everything we do. We have strong links with the Holy Cross Church, where we are welcomed for regular services. Compassion, integrity and respect underpin our attitudes to each other and to our school community. We support the Daventry Food Bank as our local charity.

We are very proud that the Abbey CE Academy is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in recognition of the high standards of our learning provision.

Working together and communicating with parents, carers and families is very important to us. We love to celebrate success, and will regularly invite you into school to help celebrate with us.

I am immensely proud to be the Principal at the Abbey, working together with the Senior Leadership Team to drive forward improvements, and with an amazing team of staff who are individually and collectively committed to providing the very best education possible for your child.

Your child matters to us.
